Everton revive interest in player as club seek sales – 'Good chance' he now ends up in Premier League

Everton have revived their interest in Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah and there is a strong chance he ends up in the Premier League before the end of the January transfer window.
That's according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who reports that Everton 'would like to recruit' the winger and could draw up an offer for him soon.
He explains that if the two clubs can reach an agreement for the 21-year-old, there is a 'good chance' he will end up in the Premier League before the transfer window comes to an end.
There is no mention of the nature of the potential deal at this point, although Everton could not do a loan unless Jesper Lindstrom or Orel Mangala's current loan deals at the club were ended early.
Lyon need sales this month after being put under a transfer embargo and threatened with relegation to Ligue 2 if they do not sort out their finances.
Debts at the club have ballooned and they've been ordered to reduce them considerably before the end of the season or face a provisional relegation, placed on them by the Direction Nationale du Contrôle de Gestion, French football's financial watchdog.
Nuamah was a player they had looked to move on in the summer transfer window and he was initially linked with a move to Everton. This was because John Textor was in talks to buy the Toffees at the time.
Both of those fell through and Nuamah then appeared to be heading to Fulham before he 'disappeared into thin air' and refused to finalise the move.
It appears he is now back on the market as Lyon look to sell what they can and Everton are back in the mix, potentially looking at recruits to bolster their squad for the man who replaces Sean Dyche.
