Murillo is firmly a fan favourite in the eyes of many having taken his second season at Nottingham Forest by storm, and now he’s posted a six-word message on Instagram after the win over West Ham.
Nottingham Forest‘s decision to sign Murillo for around £15 million looks like a masterstroke already, with clubs now having to pay at least four times more for him.
The likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all have an interest in Murillo, but the power is very much in Nottingham Forest’s hands.
A new contract isn’t currently being discussed with Murillo, but it could come at some point, especially as Chris Wood and Ola Aina are being rewarded.
However, he’s already received a big reward for his displays this season, as Brazil have called Murillo up to their squad for the upcoming international break.
He’s clearly loving life at the City Ground right now as he took to Instagram with a six-word message recently after the win over West Ham United.

Murillo wouldn’t have been able to enjoy as much success as he has at centre-back if it wasn’t for his partner Nikola Milenkovic. And the pair were excellent once again against West Ham.
The Reds kept yet another clean sheet which moved them one goal closer to having the best defensive record in the Premier League after Liverpool conceded.
Murillo left it a day or so before taking to Instagram with a post of his own.
He stated, ‘We continue to achieve our goals’.
What does the future hold for Murillo?
Of course, interest from other clubs was always going to happen.
However, the player’s stance on his future will matter the most, as things are good at Nottingham Forest right now, and there is plenty to look forward to, but if he wants a move away then nothing else matters.
Fortunately, he’s still young and appears to be enjoying his football at the City Ground, so a move doesn’t look too likely anytime soon.
One thing that also helps Forest’s cause is the £60m-£70m price tag that has been placed on the Brazilian, as most clubs can’t afford that kind of outlay in January.
