Nottingham Forest have had their fair share of transfer success stories recently, but there’s one that looks like a mistake, as Liverpool and Newcastle eye a former player.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been hailed for his transfer business at Nottingham Forest.

The signings of Elliot Anderson and Nikola Milenkovic are perfect examples of finding the right players for the right price, and their performances are evidence of that.

A £15m outlay to buy Murillo last year looks to be one of the best pieces of business, as he’s already had a price tag of £60m-£70m slapped on him at the City Ground.

However, it appears as if Nottingham Forest have made a transfer mistake without even realising, as one former player is now wanted by Liverpool and Newcastle.

Loic Bade valued at £50 million and wanted by Liverpool and Newcastle United

Believe it or not, Loic Balde actually signed for Nottingham Forest for a six-month period, but he never made an appearance in the red shirt.

He’s now playing his football at Spanish club Sevilla, and things are going rather well.

According to Estadio Deportivo (as per Sport Witness), Loic Bade is currently valued at £50 million by the Spanish club.

Now, the Spanish media (as per NUFC blog) state that Newcastle and Aston Villa are big admirers of the Frenchman, with Liverpool also eyeing him as a long-term Virgil van Dijk replacement.

Who is Loic Bade?

Well, Loic Bade is 24-year-old French centre-back.

He joined Nottingham Forest during Steve Cooper’s reign, but was never given the opportunity and that’s now come back to bite us.

Steve Cook, Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall were all regulars in the team at the time, which made it almost impossible for the Frenchman to get game time.

Of course, with Murillo and Milenkovic at centre-back right now, there’s no immediate worry, but it’s definitely a regrettable decision.
