Last night saw Greece take on Scotland and Hampden Park and Nottingham Forest sent scouts to watch the Nations League clash.
It will soon be the summer and that means clubs will target new players.
Forest will be looking to do some serious business in the transfer market, especially if Champions League football is being served up at the City Ground next season.
Viktor Gyokeres has been linked with Forest. It seems clear that some seriously high-profile players will be targeted when the window opens with a marquee addition extremely likely.
Forest will still have to cut their cloth accordingly, however, and last night, the Reds were in attendance to watch a very talented teenager who is catching the eye of a number of clubs.
Nottingham Forest watch Greece sensation Konstantinos Karetsas vs Scotland
Forest might have a secret weapon when it comes to signing any Greek international, with Evangelos Marinakis fighting the team’s corner.
A star might have been born at Hampden Park last night.
Karestsas made a sensational debut for the Greece national team as they battered Scotland 3-0 to earn promotion in the Nations League.
According to Iapopsi, Forest were in attendance alongside Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Brighton to watch the 17-year-old.
Karetsas scored in the drubbing of the Tartan Army and it would appear that interest is rife in the Genk star.

Although The talented midfielder has chosen to play for Greece, he was actually born in Belgium and came through the ranks with his current club.
His form for Genk this season has been largely impressive and he’s earned a chance to shine in men’s football during 2024/25.

Steve Clarke hailed Karetsas last night, saying: “I haven’t seen a debut like that from such a young player many times.”
That would suggest that the Scotland boss had perhaps been taken aback by the midfielder player during a true battering for his side.
Forest will have stern competition for his signing this summer but with Marinakis close to the Greece national team, perhaps the Reds hold some of the aces.
