Nottingham Forest had Elliot Anderson deliver big on the international stage this break, and a transfer target has also impressed the media in his home country.

A number of Nuno Espirito Santo‘s summer transfers have already worked wonders at the City Ground, as the likes of Elliot Anderson, Alex Moreno and Nikola Milenkovic have made big impacts.

Evangelos Marinakis has been criticised at times in the past, but his recent decisions have shaped Nottingham Forest into the club it is today.

The Nigel Doughty transformation is just another step towards meeting Marinakis’ goal of bringing back European football to Nottingham.

With the January transfer window around the corner and Forest in a promising position, there’s all the more reason to continue to invest sensibly, as long as there are no PSR issues.

Interestingly, one Nottingham Forest target put in an impressive display for Brazil last night.

Igor Jesus wows the national media after Nottingham Forest interest

Nottingham Forest recently registered an interest in signing Igor Jesus ahead of January (as per reports in Spain).

The likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested in the attacker.

He put in a great audition for Brazil in their 4-0 win over Peru in the early hours of this morning, as he grabbed an assist in his 78-minute display.

GE Globo gave him a rating of 7/10 for his performance and stated this.

“Very good performance once again, tireless striker who is not restricted to being a reference inside the area. He moves a lot and gives the option to receive the ball in a condition to progress.

“That’s how he took advantage of Gerson’s good pass in the play that resulted in the first penalty. Soon after, he served Raphinha inside the area and in the second half he still appeared well to finish Vanderson’s cross.”

Igor Jesus’ performance in numbers vs Peru

Nottingham Forest have struggled at times with Taiwo Awoniyi this season, which has meant that Chris Wood has had to do most of the heavy loading.

Igor Jesus’ 78-minute display was a good one. He grabbed an assist, completed one dribble, had 24 touches, a passing accuracy of 85%, made three key passes, created one big chance and won six duels.

He’s shown he can mix with some of the world’s best players in Brazil, interlinking wonderfully with the likes of Raphinha, who has already excelled in the Premier League.

The striker has scored seven goals and grabbed one assist in his 19 appearances in all competitions this season, but at 23, he still has plenty of time to develop.
