Wolverhampton Wanderers are following SC Internacional’s Victor Gabriel, according to multiple claims from Brazil.

Internacional took the 20-year-old on loan with an option to buy from Sport Recife in April 2024. He didn’t make an appearance last year and has played 12 matches for the Brazilian club this year.

Vozes do Gigante state Wolves have taken notice of the centre-back’s performances and have sent a scout to watch him live in action.

The Premier League club’s official was in attendance at the Estádio Beira-Rio to closely follow Gabriel in action against Grêmio on March 16th. An injury forced him to withdraw in the 77th minute.

Internacional want to buy him, and the report claims it’ll cost them $500k to acquire 50% of his rights. They are also working to secure an additional 20% and Wolves’ interest could see the Brazilian club speed up the process.

The English club’s interest in the Brazilian is also reported by Revista Colorada. His form has seen several clubs take notice and Wolves sent a scout to watch him.

Gabriel’s defensive skills, passing and physicality make him standout. The report states he could receive ‘concrete offers’ from European clubs in the summer window.

Wolves, for now, are monitoring him, and it’s not ruled out for them to make an approach.
