Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford has dominated the headlines recently.

Marcus Rashford took the footballing world by surprise by telling journalist Henry Winter that he is ready to leave Old Trafford, just a few weeks after Ruben Amorim’s appointment.

It seemed like Ruben Amorim could help revive the Englishman’s career, much like Erik ten Hag did in his first season at United.

However, Rashford clearly stated that he feels he is “ready for a new challenge and the next steps” in his career, while the 27-year-old stressed, once his exit is confirmed, there will be “no hard feelings.”

Rashford was touted to be a £100 million player by Manchester United but since his statement, he has been linked to a whole host of European clubs.

Rashford has been offered to Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Fenerbahce as well.

Roy Keane doesn’t “mind” Marcus Rashford’s Man United exit statement

Considering the speedster has been one of United’s greatest academy graduates in recent history, his statement has divided opinion. Jamie Carragher urged Rashford to leave Manchester United and for Ruben Amorim’s side to part ways with him as well.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen on Rashford’s exit, with Amorim believed to be in the same camp and that too in January.

Roy Keane chimed in on The Overlap, stating that he sees no issue in the Manchester United wideman’s admission.

“I actually don't mind that. I don't mind what he said, I know it's a bit long, but I think his message is spot on. Sometimes a deal just works for everybody. It has been going on for a year or two now.”

So much so that in Roy Keane’s eyes, perhaps an exit would be a positive for Rashford’s career.

“He has been at the club since he was a kid. Change would probably do him the world of good for him and his family. Maybe just go and play abroad or wherever it might be.”

Could Marcus Rashford sign for a Premier League club now?

It can be presumed that Manchester United supporters who are even on board with Rashford’s departure would prefer if he signed for a foreign club.

The Europa League winner has always been naturally gifted and the sight of him potentially returning to his best at another English club could be one for sore eyes for the United fanbase.

However, it was revealed on Wednesday that Chelsea and Arsenal have no interest in Rashford, as both clubs have been speculated to be possible destinations for the wantaway wide forward.

Instead, it seems like the England international’s likeliest next career step is abroad, despite Barcelona and Real Madrid claimed not to be interested in securing his services.
