The Arsenal meltdown is in full swing.

The Gunners were beaten AGAIN on Wednesday night as they lost 1-0 to Inter Milan in the Champions League.

That is back-to-back defeats for Mikel Arteta, and three losses in their last six.

Seven points off the pace in the Premier League and 12th in the Champions League… some Arsenal fans have had enough.

Challenging for the Premier League title over the last two seasons, just losing out to Man City in both years, has not given Arteta enough credit in the back for some.

#ArtetaOut started to trend on X, formerly known as Twitter, and some fans echoed that very same sentiment on talkSPORT.

Arsenal fan Mus rang the Sports Bar on Wednesday night and was raging with Arteta.

Mus said: "I rang you ages ago when we beat Leicester and I said we had a weak mentality.

"This geezer is Ronald McDonald. He's a clown. The geezer has to go, he's a fraud.

"We are one down, Edu has gone. This geezer needs to go as well. It's a shambles.

"We could have played for another five months or another five years and we wouldn't have scored.

"We had one shot on target against Bournemouth and one against Newcastle. It's a shambles.

Jason Cundy had his head in his hands

"The geezer has had money to spend. Shambles."

Host Jamie O'Hara said: "It feels a bit harsh, Arteta has taken you a long way."

Mus added: "Nah, nah, nah. I didn't want him in the first place.

"He's turned it around by getting supporters on side? Who don't know anything?

"I've not turned on him, I didn't want him in the first place. He's not big enough for Arsenal.

"He should never have been made the manager and Edu should never have been the sporting director."

O'Hara said: "That's a bit harsh on Arteta that."

Arsenal must bounce back against Chelsea this weekend

Jason Cundy, who had his head in his hands, added: "The realistic thoughts are he's up against Pep Guardiola and Man City and he's finished second. There's no disgrace in that.

"Are we now seeing Arsenal not having the minerals to go again?"

Sadly for Mus, he won't get his wish as Arteta is expected to be in situ for the long haul.

Tony, who also called in, was furious about the backlash towards his Gunners manager.

“Arsenal fans moaning about Arteta… I don’t think that’s from the proper, true Arsenal fans who have supported the club for a long time,” Tony said.

“If you love the club and believe in the club, you would see what an excellent job he’s done.

“Arteta has built something. Yeah we haven’t won much, but we’ve built something.

“It annoys me when I hear people say these things. We don’t just change the manager, we let them build something.”

A number other of Arsenal fans were left furious by the call for Arteta to lose his job, expressing their feelings in the comment section on YouTube.

One wrote: “The clueless Arsenal fans that call up ….. no wonder we get a bad name.”

Another added: “That caller is a fraud.”

Next up for the Gunners is a huge London derby with in form Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
