Aston Villa are currently in a great place going into the October international break and things are looking up at B6.

The Villans have had a solid start to the Premier League season and remain firmly in the top-four picture, as well as progressing in the Carabao Cup.

Villa are also flying high in the Champions League, having recently recorded another historic win over Bayern Munich.

And though the international break has put a halt to the domestic campaign, Villa continue to deliver good news.

Villans Under-21 manager Mark Harrison has now spoken highly about two academy players who have just signed new contracts at Villa Park.

Mark Harrison hails Aston Villa duo Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba and Triston Rowe

On Tuesday, Villa announced that midfielder Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba and full-back Triston Rowe have penned new long-terms contracts with the club.

Harrison described both 18-year-olds as exciting prospects who boast considerable attacking threat, and both have been tipped for first-team breakthroughs.

Harrison said of Jimoh-Aloba on the Villa website: "Jamal has shown real potential as a midfielder who can manage the ball and carry it forward with an attacking threat.

"This contract is a well-earned reward for Jamal's development since he joined us and the potential the club believe he has to develop into a first-team player.”

In a separate article on the official club website, Harrison said of Rowe: "As a right-back who has excellent defensive qualities and has also become a threat going forward, this contract is hard-earned reward for Triston's development as well as the potential the club feel he has to develop into a first-team player."

He joined Villa last summer after leaving West Bromwich Albion and has impressed through the club's academy ranks, penning a professional contract 12 months ago.

The England youth international has established himself as an Under-21 regular and featured for the first team in pre-season earlier this summer.

Jimoh-Aloba was rewarded with a competitive debut as a late substitute in Villa's Carabao Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers last month.

Meanwhile, Rowe is an 18-year-old professional footballer who plies his trade for Villa as a right-back.
