On Wednesday, Aston Villa will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Villa Park.

Unai Emery guided Aston Villa to the top four last season and qualification for Europe’s elite club competition for the first time in over four decades.

Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has now told Bild that he’s unsure of what to expect from the Villans tomorrow, comparing them to a Kinder Egg.

“A surprise egg, no idea what to expect there,” he said.

Aston Villa enter this tie after a 2-2 draw against Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday. They’s fifth in the table, two points behind leaders Liverpool. Emery’s side sealed a 3-0 win over Young Boys in the first group stage fixture of the Champions League.

Bayern striker Harry Kane knows the Premier League side well from his time at Tottenham Hotspur. The 31-year-old England international is pleased to play against Aston Villa.

"They have a good team, they deserve to play in the Champions League after their great season. I’m always happy to come back to England and play there,” Kane explained.

“It will be a huge atmosphere, it will be their first Champions League game in a very long time, it will be special for them."

It’s unclear whether Kane will be fit on time to face Aston Villa. He hurt his ankle in his side’s 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

Bayern manager Vincent Kompany should provide an update on on Kane’s fitness during the pre-match press conference.
