Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has taken to social media to support his teammates after their 2-1 Premier League win over North London rivals Tottenham on Wednesday (January 15).
The 23-year-old missed out on the win over Spurs after picking up a serious hamstring injury in Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Crystal Palace earlier in the season.
Spurs captain Heung-Min Son opened the scoring for the visitors in the 25th minute after his volley took a heavy deflection, leaving David Raya with no chance in the Arsenal goal.
Mikel Arteta’s side scored a controversial equaliser from a corner in the 40th minute after the ball seemingly bounced off Pedro Porro and then onto Leadro Trossard, meaning it should have been a goal kick.
Gabriel thought he had his sixth goal of the season after above the Tottenham defender to meet Declan Rice’s inswinging corner but the final touch came off of Spurs forward Dominic Solanke and was given as an own goal.
Leandro Trossard bagged the winner just four minutes later, closing the gap on Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.

The England international was key for Arsenal before the injury, starting 22 of his 24 games across all competitions, scoring nine goals, and providing 13 assists in his 1828 minutes of action.
Arsenal have had a slight dip in form since his injury, winning three, drawing one, and losing two of the six games he’s missed so far.
Saka took to Instagram after the 2-1 win over Tottenham in the North London derby to send a cheeky message to his teammate.
Arteta’s side are now just four points behind league leaders Liverpool following their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, although the leaders have a game in hand.
Arsenal will host Aston Villa in their next Premier League game on Saturday (January 18) as they seek to further close the gap.
