CL interest in Wolves player 'is real' – 'There's an opening' from Pereira's side to negotiate deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva joined UD Las Palmas on loan last summer and managed six goals and two assists from 15 league games this season.
Earlier today, the 22-year-old’s brother, Jorge, told Marca Fábio made the best decision when joining the La Liga side. Marca also stated Wolves are rubbing their hands at making money through his sale.
Earlier this week, Fichajes.net reported the Wolves owned player has ended up on Atlético Madrid’s agenda.
This has been backed up in the UK and now reached Portugal, where O Jogo provide their take on this. Their title says Los Rojiblancos are thinking about Fábio Silva and Wolves are ‘rubbing their hands’.
Within the report, it’s made clear the Madrid club are looking at the Portugal international for the summer.
O Jogo have found out Atlético haven’t opened talks with Vítor Pereira’s side but that their ‘interest is real’.
It’s further claimed ‘there is an opening’ from the Premier League side to negotiate a deal for Silva’s transfer for €20m. His contract expires in 2026, and the summer window will be Wolves’ last chance to earn a decent fee.
Silva decided to go out on loan as he found it difficult to enjoy regular minutes at Wolves. Julián Alvarez is the first-choice striker at Atlético, and the Portuguese would be behind the former Manchester City man, if he were to end up in Madrid.
Either way, Silva would be fortunate if he can secure a move to Diego Simeone’s side and perhaps the interest is being somewhat hyped.
