Sandro Tonali’s future at Newcastle United has been covered in Italy over the last few weeks.
His agent refuted talk of an exit from the English club earlier this month, but speculation of a move away from St James’ is still being reported.
MilanLive claim Tonali’s former club AC Milan could now attempt a move for the midfielder in the summer and that the Rossoneri hierarchy are pushing for the transfer.
A transfer has been described as complicated, but the report suggests that Milan have a clear strategy.
It’s claimed a potential swap deal involving Malick Thiaw could be used as bait, who had attracted interest from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window. It’s stated the Premier League side have an admiration for the centre-back.
The German is valued in the region €25m and Milan could then also offer €15m for the Newcastle man. This kind of offer could tempt the Magpies, with the 24-year-old midfielder said to be interested in a return to the San Siro.
