Over the past few weeks, claims from Brazil have stated SC Internacional want to retain Celtic’s Alexandro Bernabei after signing him on loan from Brendan Rodgers’ side last year.

Last month, Internacional vice-president José Olavo Bisol revealed the left-back wants to continue at the club and talks are progressing with Celtic.

On Monday, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Internacional director André Mazzuco has travelled to Glasgow to finalise the deal with Celtic.

UOL provide the latest and the 24-year-old’s future seems to be away from Celtic Park.

That’s because Internacional have made an offer to the Scottish champions and ‘moved closer to an agreement’. The report hasn’t mentioned the details of the proposal but says the negotiations advance with Celtic for the Argentine.

The Brazilian club are optimistic of reaching an agreement with Brendan Rodgers’ side by the end of this week. On the other hand, Bernabei’s representatives are cautious and insist there’s still no deal in place between Internacional and Celtic.

Palmeiras and Cruzeiro are two other Brazilian clubs to have shown interest in the Celtic man, but Internacional seem to be ahead, after making an offer.
