Club open talks to sign Brentford defender – Suitable loan move being sought
Today at 07:29 AM
Mads Roerslev has been a regular for Brentford this season.
He’s played 21 times in all competitions, starting the last four games in the Premier League under Thomas Frank.
Despite being an important part of the side, Roerslev had drawn links with a move to Udinese some days ago. There was a suggestion that the Italian club would only be able to sign the defender on loan as a permanent move was going to be too expensive.
More has emerged about the 25-year-old today and it could indicate that Roerslev can indeed depart Brentford this month.
Florian Plettenberg has reported today that German side Wolfsburg are also interested in the Dane. They have already started talks with Brentford and want the full-back on a loan deal.
The journalist has pointed out that the Bundesliga club’s initial target was Freiburg’s Killian Sildillia, but a move for him has not progressed as talks with the German side stalled.
That is why Wolfsburg are going after Roerslev, whose current deal with Brentford runs out in the summer of 2026.
