Denmark international 'will not leave' amid Brentford claims – New development should rule out winter move

Barcelona’s Andreas Christensen has been linked to Brentford in the winter market.
This claim initially emerged in the UK, and it was stated Thomas Frank is looking at the Denmark international to improve Brentford’s defence. Recent claims in Italy have mentioned Serie A interest in the centre-back.
Denmark’s Tipsbladet relay claims made elsewhere about Brentford, and reported interest from Italy, and then give their own take on the Barcelona player.
They have wasted no time in dismissing the defender changing clubs before the window closes next Monday. Their title says the 28-year-old ‘will not leave’ Barcelona.
Within the report, it’s claimed the former Chelsea man is ‘going nowhere’ amid claims of interest from Brentford and others.
The Bees have three Danish players in their squad and two Danish coaches [Frank and his assistant Claus Nørgaard]. Brentford won’t be able to add Christensen as another Dane in this window.
Christensen spent close to 150 days on the sidelines and returned to the pitch earlier this month. On Tuesday, Barcelona confirmed he’s now picked up a calf injury that should keep him out three weeks.
The player’s desire is to continue at Barcelona and the latest injury setback should rule out a move for him anyway.
