Donyell Malen shares first Aston Villa training ground update pre-Arsenal

Aston Villa forward Donyell Malen has shared his first training ground update since signing for the club in the January transfer window ahead of their game with former club Arsenal.
The 25-year-old joined from German giants Borussia Dortmund for a reported initial fee of £21 million, potentially rising to £27.7 million with performance-related add-ons.
Villa haven't officially confirmed the fee or the winger's contract length following his move to the Premier League and Champions League side.
The former Arsenal youth star failed to establish himself as a key player for Dortmund, starting 10 of his 11 games across all competitions, scoring five goals, and providing one assist in his 957 minutes of action.
Malen scored the opener in Dortmund’s 3-1 Bundesliga win over Wolfsburg on December 22nd in what turned out to be his last start for the club.

Villa’s 1-0 win over Everton on Wednesday (January 15), sees Emery’s side move within three points of Newcastle in fourth, although the Tynesiders have a considerably better goal difference.
Malen is clearly excited about helping his new club reach their Champions League ambitions, taking to Instagram to share images from his first training session, captioning the post: “First day in.”
Malen could be set to make his first appearance for Villa against his, and Unai Emery’s former club, Arsenal on Saturday (January 18).
They will then travel to lovely Monaco for a crucial Champions League game as they seek to make it to the knockout rounds.
