Eagerness to let player join West Ham on any formula – Club appear eager for Hammers deal

RB Leipzig are leaving the door wide open for West Ham United to sign Andre Silva, with any problems not coming from them.

That's according to journalist Philipp Hinze, who reports that the German side are open to a loan deal or a permanent deal for their striker.

West Ham moved to sign Silva earlier this week as they look to find a replacement for the injured Michail Antonio and Niklas Füllkrug.

A loan deal with an option to buy seemed to be progressing steadily and reports in Germany made it clear that negotiations between the two clubs were going well.

However, there appears to have been a slowdown in those talks, with West Ham now targeting Brian Brobbey from Ajax instead.

Hinze reports this is not because Leipzig have made life difficult. To the contrary, they remain 'absolutely open and willing' to discuss a deal for Andre Silva. He insists 'Leipzig is not the issue' in this particular negotiation. They are ready for a loan until the end of the season or a permanent transfer.

The hint, although not explicitly stated, is that issues are coming from West Ham. Hinze does say, though, that they remain in the race for the Portuguese striker.

Whether they actually push forward and sign him remains to be seen but in Germany it seems Leipzig want it known they aren't the ones causing any issues.
