Arsenal enjoyed a productive summer transfer window as they made three top-quality additions.

The Gunners outlaid £89m on the signings of Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino and Raheem Sterling – who joined on a loan deal from Chelsea.

Whilst it was a good window, it wasn’t perfect, as Mikel Arteta was keen to add another attacker to his forward line.

Arsenal missed out on Nico Williams and Benjamin Sesko, so evidently there’s still some unfinished business to do in the transfer market.

With that said, TBR Football can now reveal who the North Londoners have identified.

Arsenal and Liverpool leading race to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Arsenal and Liverpool could go head-to-head over Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in 2025, TBR Football has been told.

Khvaratskhelia is one of the most in-demand players in world football. The Georgian superstar has been in talks with Napoli over a new contract for much of the last year, but so far no agreement has been reached.

Khvaratskhelia's current deal expires in 2027, but he is due fresh terms as he is one of the lowest-paid players in their squad.

Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have all been keen on Khvaratskhelia for the best part of two years, but the player himself has made it clear he is not just looking for money.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping close tabs on Khvaratskhelia contract talks, too.

Kvaratskhelia favours Arsenal and Liverpool

Kvaratskhelia, who’s been labelled as ‘phenomenal’ per Geordie Boot Boys, has his preferences on his next club and sources have told TBR Football that should he decide to move to England – Arsenal and Liverpool, as it stands, would be his preferred destination.

Arsenal for their part are in the market for another winger in 2025, whilst Liverpool are looking at options should Mohamed Salah opt to leave Anfield next year.

Napoli are willing to more than quadruple his current salary and would include a release clause in his deal – but that fee would stand at more than £100million.

They came to a similar agreement with Victor Osimhen when he signed his new deal last year.
