Everton midfielder Charlie Whitaker is in advanced talks to join Notts County in a permanent deal, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract at Goodison Park.
Whitaker, who joined Everton from Blackburn at the age of 12, is closing in on a move to League Two side Notts County.
He has featured regularly for the Toffees’ Under-21 side this term but is yet to make his senior debut for the Merseysiders.
Whitaker has played 12 times in Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy competition this term, scoring seven goals and notching one assist.
He has been prolific for Everton at youth level, hitting 30 goals and notching 13 assists in 87 games for the Under-18 and Under-21 sides.

The 21-year-old signed his most recent contract extension at Goodison Park in 2022 – keeping him at the club until June 2025.
But he is now set to get his first taste of senior football in League Two with Notts County as they push for promotion to the third tier.
