TBR Football can reveal that new West Ham United boss Graham Potter wants the club to bring Lille duo Angel Gomes and Jonathan David to the club this summer.

Both England international Gomes and Canadian ace David are out-of-contract this summer, and both have confirmed to the club they will be departing on free transfers this summer.

The duo have long featured on lists of English clubs, with David one of the strikers on Tottenham’s list.

However, it looks like West Ham could be the ones to make their move.

Gomes, who has emerged into a deep lying playmaker in France having been a wide player during his Manchester United days, is of interest to a host of clubs including his former club United.

TBR Football has confirmed that United are one of those keeping close tabs on him along with Tottenham and Aston Villa, whilst there are also a number of foreign clubs keen including Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.

David a man in-demand

Jonathan David, meanwhile, has enjoyed a brilliant season with 15 goals to his name already and there is not a major team in England or Europe who has not watched him in the last six months. Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Man United are all considering making him an offer.

We are told David is already fielding offers ahead of a summer move, as a January switch was not considered, and West Ham are now ready to make an offer with the hope he could be persuaded to move to the London Stadium.

David will have a decision to make, with Man United expecting David to be offered to them at some point as well.
