Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City all still harbour ambitions of winning the Premier League title.

There won't have been many who predicted the Premier League title race to play out like this at the beginning of the season.

Indeed, Liverpool top the Premier League at this juncture, while Chelsea are in second place.

Liverpool and Chelsea were unfancied heading into this season. After all, Liverpool lost Jurgen Klopp in the summer, and replaced him with something of an unknown quantity in the shape of Arne Slot.

Meanwhile, Chelsea sacked Mauricio Pochettino and replaced him with Enzo Maresca, a manager with only one year's worth of experience under his belt in the second-tier.

Manchester City were favourites to win the league before the start of the season, while Gary Neville fancied Arsenal to win the title.

Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Tim Sherwood has updated his title prediction, and he now believes Liverpool will win the league.

Tim Sherwood tips Liverpool to win the league

Sherwood says that he now thinks Liverpool will win the league.

Indeed, the pundit says that the now thinks the stars are perfectly aligned for the Reds to win the league

"Everything is looking perfect for Liverpool at the moment. I tipped Arsenal to win the Premier League, but I watched them and I have to change my mind. I'm allowed to change my mind aren't I? Watching them dismantle Tottenham, they look sensational, the width of Gakpo and Salah.

What did Tim Sherwood say about Arsenal?

Sherwood says that he initially tipped Arsenal to win the title, and it was only last week that he tipped the Gunners to win the title.

Indeed, Sherwood said just a week ago that Arsenal can win 10 or 15 games in a row to go on and overtake Liverpool.

"Pep Guardiola and Man City have been his only problem, and they're not there any more, so, for me, I know I've said it before, they're my favourites to win the Premier League. I think Arsenal win 10 or 15 games on the spin when they get back to fitness, but they need to improve, Martinelli needs to improve or they need to go to Trossard and find a different solution," Sherwood said

Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 5-1 on Saturday in a very impressive showing, but Liverpool's 6-3 victory against Tottenham has convicned the pundit that the Reds are indeed the real deal.

Of course, whether or not Liverpool can actually go on and win the league from here remains to be seen, but the Merseyside club are in a great position to go on and become champions from here, it must be said.

Arsenal may have something to say about that, and with January just around the corner, Mikel Arteta could make some exciting signings to change the outlook – Rafael Leao has been linked to Arsenal, but, right now, the Gunners are underdogs in this race.
