Man City winger Jack Grealish has posted on social media for the first time since admitting the club has “not been at the levels we know we can be.”

The 29-year-old replaced Savinho at half-time to then open the scoring in their 4-2 Champion League defeat to PSG on Wednesday (January 22) just five minutes later.

City looked well on their way to a crucial three points after Erling Haaland doubled their lead in the 53rd minute, but Pep Guardiola’s side crumbled once again.

Goals from Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, Joao Neves, and Goncalo Ramos secured a memorable comeback for the Parisian side and left City on the brink of elimination.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Grealish gave his honest assessment of the game, and their season so far.

Grealish said: "Usually in those moments we’re so good, it’s happened too many times this season where we’ve gone one, two, three goals up and we’ve not be able to control the game and see it out," said Grealish.

“It’s weird because in every other season, we’ve been so good in those moments, managing the game. I don’t know if it’s a confidence thing. For most of this season, we’ve not been at the levels we know we can be. It’s down to ourselves to try and change that moving forward and to try and win the game next week.

The England international has struggled so far this season, starting 11 of his 22 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing four assists in his 1108 minutes of action.

Grealish is clearly trying to put their defeat to PSG behind him, taking to Instagram to wish teammate Josko Gvardiol a happy birthday.

City will host Chelsea on Saturday (January 25) in what could be a crucial game for both club's Champions League ambitions.

Guardiola's side will then welcome Club Brugge knowing anything less than a win would likely see them knocked out.
