Jack Grealish shares Man City training ground update after humiliation
01/01/2025 02:00 AM
Man City star Jack Grealish is “back to work” after failing to score a single club goal for the Premier League champions throughout 2024.
The 29-year-old wasn’t given the opportunity to end his goal drought in Man City’s 2-0 league win over Leicester City, failing to make it off the bench for Pep Guardiola’s side.
City’s win over Leicester took them into fifth but have since dropped down to sixth after Newcastle’s comfortable 2-0 win over Ruben Amorim’s struggling Man United on Monday (December 30).
Guardiola’s side will be hoping the new year means new beginnings after going through their worst run of form since the Spaniard took over back in 2016.
The current champions have won just two games in their last 13 across all competitions, drawing three, and losing the other eight.
Jack Grealish determined to make amends at Man City after torrid 2024
Grealish has once again found himself on the periphery at Man City, starting 10 of his 18 games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing two assists in his 940 minutes of action.
The England international's last club goal came in Man City's 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on December 16th, 2023.
He has found some solace on the international stage, however, scoring in England’s 2-0 UEFA Nations League win over the Republic of Ireland and in their 3-1 victory over Finland.
Grealish took to Instagram to share an image of himself working hard in the gym which was originally posted by the club’s official account.
City will host Julen Lopetegui’s struggling West Ham in their first game of the new year, as they seek to salvage something from their season.
Guardiola’s side were fifth at Christmas last season, six points below leaders Arsenal and went on to win their fourth consecutive title.
