Joao Felix bids farewell after confirmed Chelsea exit news

Chelsea ace Joao Felix has taken to social media to say goodbye to HenriqueHilario who has left the club to become a goalkeeping coach with Thomas Tuchel’s England set-up.
The 49-year-old ended his 16-year association with Chelsea on New Year’s Day having joined the West London club in 2006 as a player before becoming a member of the coaching staff in 2016.
Hilario has worked under seven different managers at Chelsea, first becoming assistant goalkeeper coach under Antonio Conte before being promoted by Maurizio Sarri.
Frank Lampard decided against keeping him during the legendary midfielder’s time at the club but Hilario was brought back to the club by Tuchel.
The deal to bring the Portuguese coach to the England set-up was agreed on November 22nd, six days after Tuchel was appointed manager.

The 25-year-old has struggled to nail down a starting spot since joining Chelsea on a permanent basis in the summer, starting eight of his 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals, and providing two assists in his 842 minutes of action.
Felix took to Instagram to share an image of Chelsea’s Portuguese contingent, including Pedro Neto and Renato Viega alongside Hilario to say goodbye.
Chelsea’s shock 2-0 defeat to Ipswich in their previous Premier League game sees them fall down to fourth, ten points behind league leaders Liverpool.
Enzo Maresca’s side will travel to South London to face Crystal Palace in their first game of 2025 on Saturday (December 4) having failed to win in their last three games.
