Man United forward Joshua Zirkzee took to social media to send a message to the fans after their 2-1 Europa League win over Rangers on Thursday (January 23).
The 23-year-old was hooked off by Ruben Amorim in the 82nd minute having completed just six passes, and 23 touches, and a zero per cent shot accuracy rate.
The home side took the lead in the 52nd minute through a Jack Butland own-goal, with the goalkeeper misjudging the flight of the ball from a corner and punching into his own net.
Harry Maguire's missed header allowed Cyriel Dessers to bag the equaliser in the 88th minute, and Rangers looked well on their way to earning a valuable point at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes then burst into life to secure all three points for United, latching onto Lisandro Martinez’s lofted pass to score past Butland on the volley in added time.

The striker has struggled at United since joining in the 2024 summer transfer window, starting 13 of his 32 games across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing three assists in his 1308 minutes of action.
Zirkzee is already looking towards United’s next game, taking to Instagram after the win over Rangers to rally the troops, saying: “Great Win! Focus on Sunday.”
United’s win over the Scottish side sees them climb up to fourth in the new Europa League league phase, with 15 points from their seven games.
Amorim’s attention will return to the Premier League on Sunday (January 26) as his side prepare for a trip to Fulham.
