Tottenham Hotspur are really starting to find their groove this season.

Tottenham have now won six out of their last seven games in all competitions, and their good run of form has, unsurprisingly, coincided with a good run of performances from Dejan Kulusevski.

The Swedish midfielder has been brilliant as of late, and Kulusevski has earned plenty of praise during this time.

Kulusevski has recently been described as an 'outstanding' player.

Speaking on the Optus Sport Football Podcast, Michael Bridges has been discussing Kulusevski's recent performances, and he's shared a change he's noticed in the former Juventus star.

Indeed, Bridges says that Kulusevski is looking leaner and fitter than he ever has before under Ange Postecoglou.

Dejan Kulusevski is looking lean

Bridges shared the change he's noticed in Kulusevski recently.

The pundit says that the midfielder is now looking fitter than he ever has, claiming that he now looks seriously lean.

"My biggest criticism has been of Kulusevski that he hasn’t been consistent. He hasn’t looked as fit as what I think he can do in the past seasons. I will say under Ange, he looks as lean as I’ve ever seen him.

"Like you say, the new position seems to suit him and he’s playing the style of football that he is absolutely relishing. So I think it’s a match made in heaven with the way Ange has got him playing and what he’s doing. And Ange has given him the freedom."

Kulusevski is fitter

Maybe it's because he's playing in a new position that is slightly more demanding in terms of running, but it has to be said that Kulusevski is looking fitter.

He's zipping around the pitch quicker than he ever has before, and he looks sharper towards the end of games too.

It's not just Bridges who has picked up on this either, Swedish media recently remarked on Kulusevski's improved fitness earlier this year.

Ange Postecoglou does push his players to their limits in training, but that sort of hard work does pay off, and the fact that Kulusevski is playing so well at the moment and looking so fit is a testament to how he's bought into the manager's regimes.

If a few more Tottenham players can follow suit, this Spurs team could seriously kick on from here and start to reap the rewards of Ange Postecoglou's high-intensity system.

Fitness is king under a manager like Postecoglou, and it's great to see that Kulusevski has embraced this so much.
