Last week, Rangers sealed a 2-0 win over Malmö FF in Sweden. Philippe Clement’s side will be looking to secure their second win the Europa League when they face Lyon on Thursday.

According to L’Equipe, Lyon manager has Pierre Sage has decided to leave Warmed Omari and Tanner Tessmann out of the squad to face Rangers.

Omari, 24, joined the Ligue 1 side on a loan deal from Stade Rennais on deadline day. The 23-year-old American arrived on permanent transfer from Venezia towards the end of the summer window.

Tessmann has made four appearances, while Omari is yet to make an appearance for his new club. The former, who initially struggled for a place, made his first start for Lyon in their league win over Toulouse last weekend.

Sage has decided not to include the two summer signings in the squad for the European clash against Rangers.

Lyon’s Ernest Nuamah didn’t feature against Toulouse. L’Equipe now claim he should be in contention to face Philippe Clement’s side at Ibrox.

Rangers enter this tie after winning their last four matches, keeping clean sheets in all these games and scoring seven goals in the process.
