Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bolster Ange Postecoglou’s squad and Harry Kane has made his feelings very clear on Spurs’ latest transfer target.
Tottenham have started putting together plans for the next two transfer windows and they have identified one of Harry Kane’s teammates as a target. Spurs are looking to sign a forward with Heung-min Son expected to stay for just one more season.
Postecoglou has already spoken about adding experience to his squad and their newest target certainly has plenty of experience of winning silverware.
Tottenham are interested in signing Leroy Sane
Tottenham are one of three Premier League clubs who are showing an interest in signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, according to Sport. The German international is out of contract next summer and is free to start talking to clubs in January.
Chelsea and Manchester United are the other two English clubs keen on signing Sane as a free agent. Meanwhile, Barcelona are also showing interest in signing the 28-year-old.
The player is keen to remain in the Bundesliga, however, Bayern and Sane have been discussing a new contract for several months and the winger is no longer a priority for the Bavarians.
What Harry Kane has said about Leroy Sane
Harry Kane is a big fan of Sane whom he has played with for the last season and a half at the Allianz Arena. The former Spurs striker admitted that he has a great connection with the winger and lauded “his great pace and outstanding power”.
Kane said back in November 2023: “He has great pace and outstanding power. Leroy is probably our best player so far this season. He is fantastic. Even today, when it was 2-2, I had the feeling that he was the player who would lift us up again. He is such an important player for us with his skills. Today he made two assists for me again, which is great. I hope we keep this connection.”
