Arsenal star and England debutant Myles Lewis-Skelly is enjoying an absolutely sensational season.

The 18-year-old began the campaign as one of the best youngsters in the Arsenal setup, and is now a first-team regular for Mikel Arteta.

Now, Lewis-Skelly is shining on the international stage after enjoying the best possible start to his time with England.

Thomas Tuchel handed Lewis-Skelly his first Three Lions call-up this month before starting him in the World Cup qualifier against Albania.

And within the first 20 minutes, Lewis-Skelly got England up and running with the opening goal of the game.

England legend Rio Ferdinand shared his reaction to the Arsenal gem’s debut goal on his X account.

Rio Ferdinand “so happy” for Arsenal gem Myles Lewis-Skelly after England debut goal

Lewis-Skelly’s goal came in the 20th minute as the Arsenal talent raced onto a defence-splitting pass from Jude Bellingham and coolly slotted home first-time.

“He’s onside, it’s a great finish,” said Ferdinand. “What a debut, what… a… debut!

“I’m so happy for him man, young England boy doing his thing, makes his debut – one game, one goal.”

Fellow Manchester United icon Roy Keane also praised Lewis-Skelly for his goal.

“You have to take risks in this game,” Keane said on ITV Sport. “I thought it was a brilliant goal.

“The pass, the weight of the pass, the timing of the run and the finish from your full-back. It was fantastic.”

The record Lewis-Skelly has already broken on his England debut

When the England line-up was announced, Lewis-Skelly became the second-youngest Arsenal player ever to play for the Three Lions’ senior side,

The Gunners left-back is 18 years and 176 days old, with just Theo Walcott (17 years 75 days) ahead of him.

Lewis-Skelly’s goal then made him the youngest ever England player to score on his debut.

A star was born at Wembley Stadium today, and it’ll be ever so exciting to see what the future holds for Lewis-Skelly, both for Arsenal and for England.
