'Robert Sanchez to leave Chelsea' - fans react to latest

Chelsea fans have demanded that the club sell Robert Sanchez during the January transfer window following his performance against Wolves on Monday (20 January).

The Blues ended their five-match run without a win in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory, but Enzo Maresca's side went in at halftime drawing after another error from the goalkeeper.

The 27-year-old dropped the ball from a corner which allowed Matt Doherty to tap it into an empty net which forced his teammates to step up even more in the second half.

It was the fourth error that Sanchez has made this season which has led to a goal, with those mistakes starting to prove costly for Chelsea.

The Blues were able to push back into the top four on Monday night after defeating Wolves, with the club now sitting four points behind Nottingham Forest and Arsenal.

Maresca's side will face Man City on Saturday (25 January) in their next fixture in the Premier League.

Sanchez is under contract at Chelsea until 2030 and has firmly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper under Maresca.

The Spain international has played 20 times in the Premier League this season and has conceded 24 times, only managing to keep four clean sheets.

However, it is his mistakes that are turning the Blues faithful against him as they have labelled him an "embarrassment" as the fans have pushed the club to "just sell Sanchez" this month.
