Romain Esse has sent Crystal Palace fans a message following their defeat against Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday (26 January).
The Eagles were beaten 2-1 by Thomas Frank's side courtesy of second-half goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Kevin Schade.
However, Esse did manage to get on the scoresheet in the 85th minute to give his new club some hope in the dying embers of the fixture.
It created a positive situation for the 19-year-old even though Palace were ultimately beaten at Selhurst Park.
The teenager joined Palace during the January transfer window in a £12million move from Millwall, making the English step up to the top flight for the first time in his career.
The attacking midfielder certainly made the most of his seven-minute cameo against Brentford, giving Palace fans a glimpse at what they've signed.
Romain Esse reflects positively on the Crystal Palace loss
The defeat left Palace 13th in the Premier League table after being overtaken by Man United, while they remain level on points with West Ham.
The frustration was shared by Esse, but he took to Instagram to take the personal positives away from the game.
He said, "First and foremost I'd like to say I'm devastated with the result of the game, but on a personal note I'm buzzing to have made my Premier League debut & to of scored my first @premierleague goal for this great club, first of many. (a bit carried away with cele but this meant a lot for me & my family)."
The 19-year-old had already scored four goals and provided one assist for Millwall this season in the Championship.
Esse has signed a long-term contract at Selhurst Park, committing his future to the club until 2030.
