Manchester City are making a strong push in the January transfer window to bolster Pep Guardiola’s squad and their latest plans have been revealed.

The Premier League champions are the most active club this month so far as they close in on deals to sign Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Victor Reis.

Marmoush is close to signing for City from Eintracht Frankfurt, meanwhile, Lens’ Khusanov and Reis will both help bolster their defensive options.

But, Pep Guardiola’s team are showing no signs of stopping after these three deals are complete with City intent on making further additions.

Man City expect more signings after Marmoush, Khusanov and Reis

Manchester City are expected to make more signings this month even after completing deals for Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Victor Reis, according to The Athletic.

In regards to the trio of incomings, Fabrizio Romano reports that City are still in talks over a deal for Marmoush, Khusanov has a medical booked and negotiations are underway for Reis.

But, they are showing no signs of letting up with other opportunities being looked at and the Athletic report: “City are expected to be active in the transfer market even beyond the potential arrivals of Khusanov, Reis and Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush, so it may be that they find more ready-made solutions elsewhere. There is a lot of business still to do this month.”

What do Man City still need this month?

The obvious hole that remains in Man City’s side is a quality number six, although finding a player good enough to fill in for Rodri in January will be tricky.

Guardiola confirmed Walker's desire to leave City this month and talks started over a move to AC Milan, therefore, a new right-back could be required.

Rico Lewis will now likely be the first choice option, however, there will be question marks as to whether he is good enough to be a regular for the champions.
