Hull City have started official conversations with free agent João Pedro about joining them before the free transfer deadline.

That's according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who says official talks have been opened with the 32-year-old striker.

According to his information, Hull have offered the striker a one-year deal with the option of another year on top.

He states that the future of the Brazilian player 'will become clear this evening', hinting that talks are progressing well and quickly at that.

Pedro has been a free agent since leaving Fenerbahce on a free transfer midway throughout August after returning from a loan spell away from the club.

He's been with the Turkish side since July 2022 after joining in a €4.68m deal, the latest in a varied career tat's seen him play in Brazil, Italy, Uruguay and Portugal over the last 14-years.

He only managed five goals, and one assists in 28 games for Fenerbahce during his time there and spent last season back in Brazil with Gremio, where he also struggled.

He's been failing to get back to the form that saw him score 86 goals and register 28 assists in 271 games for Cagliari and led to his move to Turkey.

It seems Hull are convinced, though, and are making moves to try and add the 32-year-old to their squad while they can.

They currently have Chris Bedia and Mason Burstow as their own options in the striker role and it seems they believe an addition is needed, so talks are now being held with Pedro about a move.
