Barcelona have been working on the re-development of the Spotify Camp Nou since last June, and according to several reports, things have been progressing well. The idea has been for the first team to return to the stadium in December/January, but despite plenty of confidence, this is now no longer possible.

Relevo have reported that the process of installing water, electricity and other derivatives makes it impossible for Barcelona to make their return to the iconic arena on the projected return date. Instead, the idea is now for a comeback in April – this would still allow them to play the home Clasico at the Spotify Camp Nou.

The construction of the stadium itself is going as planned, and Limak have been commended for the work they have done. However, Barcelona will still be forced to wait for their return to their home – this is terrible news for the club, especially in a financial sense.
