Derby County, Bolton Wanderers and Barnsley are interested in Ilkeston Town striker Tom Cursons, according to a report by Football Insider.
The Football League trio have all been alerted to the form of the non-league ace. He has scored 20 goals in all competitions for the Northern Premier League side so far this season.
Cursons, 23, is out of contract in the summer and is due to become available when this campaign ends. His current club are set to face a battle to keep hold of him in the meantime though.
In this update regarding his future this winter, Football Insider claim Derby County, Bolton Wanderers and Barnsley are all keen on luring him up the football pyramid. Peterborough United have also been credited with an interest.
The Rams play their football in the Championship following their promotion last year, whilst the Trotters, the Tykes and the Posh all remain in League One.

Ilkeston Town signed Cursons during the 2023/24 season and he ended up scoring 12 goals in 18 games.
He has since carried on his impressive return in this campaign.
The attacker said in November last year, as per the NPL website: “Ilkeston are aware that I want to play full-time football. I’m still in that age bracket where it can still happen, but I need to make sure it’s the right move at this stage of my career.
“I don’t want to go somewhere, sit on the bench for a year and stunt my progress. I know I can’t just jump as soon as I see a full-time contract in front of me.
“It’s quite weird really, as you dream of playing full-time, but when push comes to shove you always have to think whether it’s the right move at that time.”
As with any player making such a big step up, patience would need to be required with Cursons if he were to move on in the near future.
What next?
Derby County have the chance to bring in reinforcements as they look to solidify their place in the second tier under Paul Warne.
Bolton Wanderers, Barnsley and Peterborough United would be able to offer Cursons more game time over the Rams though due to the fact they play in the league below. The latter are no strangers to snapping up talent from the lower leagues.
