'Everyone say a prayer' – Bolton Wanderers sweating over new 'nasty' injury to influential star

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt is ‘praying‘ Eoin Toal’s injury is not a serious one after his withdrawal against Stevenage.
Bolton Wanderers picked up another valuable win in their bid to surge back up the League One table on Tuesday night, thrashing Stevenage 4-1 away from home.
The hosts’ performance was strewn with errors and the visitors made them pay. Goals from Ricardo Santos, James McAtee, Victor Adeboyejo and Dion Charles wrapped up a sixth win in eight third-tier games for the Trotters.
However, it wasn’t all good news on the night.
A little over half-an-hour into the first-half, Bolton Wanderers were forced to bring Will Forrester on in place of Northern Ireland international and stand-in captain Eoin Toal.
Toal pulled up chasing an opponent and after confirming that it is his hamstring, manager Ian Evatt admitted they’re praying it’s a case of weeks rather than months out for the central defender.
“It is his hamstring,” the Bolton Wanderers chief said, as quoted by The Bolton News.
“We are just praying it isn’t another tendon because they are the nasty ones.
“We hope it is just the muscle, which really simplifies it and brings down the length of time he’ll be absent for. Fingers crossed, everyone say a prayer it isn’t a tendon.”
