Peterborough United winger David Ajiboye is wanted on a permanent basis by Newport County, their boss Nelson Jardim has admitted.
Peterborough United let the attacker link up with the League Two side on loan in January. He is due to return to PUFC in the summer.
Ajiboye, 26, has made 10 appearances for the Exiles since his winter switch and has scored two goals. He has also picked up one assist.
Jardim has said, as per a report by the South Wales Argus: “You can clearly see why we signed Ajiboye and he ticks all the boxes for the quality at this level. he has had an impact on the team in the dressing room and in games. His character is perfect for me and the club needs players like him, but let’s see what happens.
“Hopefully he will stay but we have to speak with him and we haven’t even thought about that yet because there are still a lot of games to be played.”
