Barnet have signed recent Rotherham United trialist Giosue Bellagambi following his exit from Huddersfield Town, as announced by their official club website.

Huddersfield Town made the decision to cut ties with the goalkeeper at the end of last season. His contract at the John Smith’s Stadium officially expired in late June and he subsequently became a free agent.

Bellagambi, 22, spent time on trial at Rotherham United this past summer, as detailed in a report by Rotherham Advertiser. In addition, the Dunfermline Press claimed Dunfermline Athletic were admirers.

In this latest update regarding his situation, he has put pen-to-paper on a deal with Barnet in the National League. Their goalkeeper coach Craig Holloway has told their website: “He has great power and agility. A kid who wants to learn, who is technically sound. He has a real appetite to improve and has been training for some weeks now and he fits into the group nicely.”
