Jonathan Clauss suffers blow as OGC Nice's injury problems continue

There is no let-up for OGC Nice’s issues in the medical department, even during the international break. As reported by L’Équipe and Le Parisien, Jonathan Clauss (32) is the latest to succumb to injury.
It has been a revolving door in the medical room at Nice this season. Multiple key players, such as Mohamed-Ali Cho, Jérémie Boga, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, Tanguy Ndombélé, Melvin Bard, and Hicham Boudaoui have all spent notable time away from the pitch, even at this early point of the season. The likes of Morgan Sanson and Terem Moffi, both guaranteed starters under Francesco Farioli last season, are yet to play a single minute.
Clauss has also spent some time on the treatment table this season and he may be set to do so again. On international duty with France, the former Olympique de Marseille and RC Lens full-back was omitted from the matchday squad to face Italy on Sunday due to discomfort felt behind his thigh.
No risks were taken and on Saturday, he only did work in the gym. Clauss will undergo tests on the discomfort when he returns to Nice on Monday.
