One of Didier Deschamps’ most trusted men, Adrien Rabiot (29) has nonetheless been absent from th France national team set-up since Euro 2024.
It was a lack of club, rather than a lack of form, that cost Rabiot. The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder chose not to renew at Juventus and so he remained without a club, even beyond the closure of the transfer window at the end of August. As a result, without a club, he missed out on Deschamps’ squad in September.
He then went on to sign for Olympique de Marseille, however, it has taken time for him to return to match fitness. That was the reason for his absence in October. However, now up to speed with his new club, he is set to be brought back into the fold, according to La Provence.
Rabiot is expected to be named in Deschamps’ squad on Thursday, ahead of UEFA Nations League fixtuees against Israel and Italy.
