Winning everything would probably be an acceptable outcome imo

Liverpool have started just about as well as they could have under new head coach Arne Slot, with the Reds sat first in the Premier League, undefeated in the Champions League, and having passed their first challenge in the League Cup.

And when you're a club as big as Liverpool and in the mix for titles and trophies, now matter the stage of the season, the goal is to stay in the mix and push to win them all. At least that's how forward Cody Gakpo sees it, and we're not going to argue with him.

"Hopefully we can win everything," was Gakpo's response when asked by Sky about his goals for the 2024-25 campaign. "It's the start of the season, we are in all competitions ,and when you participate in a competition you participate to win.

"So that's our goal and I think last season we showed we can do it. We were very close to a lot of things but missed it in the end a little bit, but that gives us hope and strength that we know we could come that far. So this year we are going to push even further."

Gakpo has been in fine form to start the year but finds himself behind arguably Liverpool's in-form player in left winger Luis Diaz. That speaks to Liverpool's strength in depth, though—something Gakpo knows will be needed in the coming months.

With players reporting back following thew October international break, the Reds now face Chelsea on Sunday before playing RB Leipzig in Europe, Arsenal, Brighton in the League Cup and league, Leverkusen, and Aston Villa over the next three weeks.

"We have a good group, a lot of quality," Liverpool's Dutch forward added. "We've known each other a little bit longer now, so yeah, all those things help."
