Christian Pulisic has been on a tear for AC Milan since moving to the Italian giants last year, and Liverpool have been keeping tabs.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Pulisic as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, with Milan set to demand as much as £34m for the USA international if the Reds were to make an approach for the former Chelsea man.

With five goals and two assists in all competitions already for the Rossoneri this season, Pulisic has been one of the in-form players in Europe this campaign with the 26-year-old attacker finding his feet again under an underwhelming few years in west London.

And former USA international Herculez Gomez has now told Pulisic what he should do if Liverpool were to come in for him in 2025.

Pulisic told to reject Liverpool to remain AC Milan’s star player

Speaking on Futbol Americas, the ESPN pundit urged Pulisic to remain in Milan for as long as possible while he is the star player, with the former Borussia Dortmund star told to reject a move to Liverpool if an approach was made.

Indeed, whilst no concrete move has been made by Liverpool, Pulisic does tick a lot of boxes for what the Anfield side are looking for when it comes to a potential Salah replacement, yet the US star has now been told to remain at the San Siro.

Gomez said: "I like the fact that he has found a place where he's thriving, I like the fact that he feels comfortable in a set-up and he is the man there and they think of him as a leader, they think of him as an important piece to that puzzle right there.

“So I don't want want him going anywhere. I finally found a Christian Pulisic that is doing well at the club level, and I do think these performances are going to translate at the international level, so I would like for him to stay."

Liverpool need to really consider Pulisic move next year

Replacing a player as good as Salah should be an impossible job for Liverpool, yet the same line was uttered when Arne Slot took over from Jurgen Klopp on Merseyside, a transition the Dutch coach has made look easy.

And the same could apply with Salah if the winger is replaced by someone like Pulisic, who at 26-years-old is yet to hit his peak and could thrive at Anfield given how suitable Liverpool’s style of play is for the American.

With an asking price of £34m, Pulisic would also be an affordable replacement for Salah, with the attacker also having experience of playing in the Premier League during his time at Chelsea, even if that spell was not as unsuccessful as many remember it being.
