Mohamed Salah has been arguably the best player in the world this season, with the Liverpool winger somehow taking his game to new heights.

The 32-year-old attacker has been a one-man army at times for the Reds under Arne Slot, with Salah already hitting 38 goal contributions in all competitions and leading the Premier League goalscoring and assist charts.

Although Steve McManaman noted that Salah’s form of late hasn’t been good enough for Liverpool, the Egyptian international still remains the deadliest threat for defenders in the Premier League having made a mockery of virtually everyone this season.

And Robbie Fowler has now shared one thing about Salah’s game that the former Liverpool striker simply can’t explain.

Fowler still can’t understand how Salah is as good as he is

Speaking to Amazon Prime, the Anfield legend explained how he doesn’t understand how Salah is as good as he is when sometimes the former AS Roma star doesn’t play like someone who many now consider the best in the world.

With Fowler also suggesting Salah has signed a new contract with Liverpool, the Reds’ legend’s opinion on the winger is one that some supporters and pundits share, with the 32-year-old having the uncanny ability to provide the right actions at the right time for the Premier League leaders.

Fowler said: “His all-round game is incredible, I don’t think anyone would have envisioned when he came to the club how many goals he’d score, his numbers are incredible. I’ll be honest with you, sometimes I watch him and think: ‘I don’t know how he does it.’

“Because at times he doesn’t look unbelievably clean, he doesn’t look technically unbelievable, but then he’ll do something out of the extraordinary and you’ll think: ‘Wow,’ I don’t know how he does it sometimes, what a player.”

What else has been said about Salah’s form this season?

Salah is on course to enjoy the best season of his career once he starts returning to the scoresheet having not found the back of the net in the last three games, something that hasn’t happened since the start of the season.

And this record alone shows just how good the Egyptian international has been this season for the Reds, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in awe of Salah’s goalscoring record with the forward already on 21 for the campaign.

With Luis Garcia backing Salah to win the Ballon d’Or, the Liverpool winger will want to do all he can to ensure he claims the biggest prize in football later this year, and returning to form and firing the Reds to success will do just that for the wide-attacker.
