Ibrahima Konate issues wholesome response after seeing Liverpool draw Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup

Liverpool learnt their FA Cup third round opponents on Monday, with a clash set-up against League Two side Accrington Stanley.
The Reds have plenty to get through before then, with the game scheduled for the weekend of the 11th of January.
It is certainly an interesting looking match-up, though, with the teams having only ever met once previously, in the same round of the FA Cup back in January 1956.
Liverpool won 2-0 at Anfield that day and the stadium will now play host to the fixture once again almost 70 years on.
One player who has almost certainly never heard of Accrington Stanley is Ibrahima Konate.
But that didn’t stop the French defender from having a wholesome interaction with Stanley forward Josh Woods after hearing news of the draw.
Ibrahima Konate ready for FA Cup match-up
Given news that Konate’s injury may not be as bad as first feared, Liverpool supporters will be more than hopeful that the 25-year-old will be fit to feature in this game.
However, given that Ibou is so important to Arne Slot, it seems unlikely that he will play any part against Accrington even if ready to do so.
Nevertheless, Konate was still the first Liverpool player to give his reaction after seeing Woods’ brother post an elated video of the striker watching the draw live.
“Dreams do come true wow,” wrote Woods, a boyhood Liverpool supporter.
“Let’s go!!” replied Konate, alongside a fist bump emoji and a love heart.
“See you soon big man,” Woods wrote back. What a moment for the 24-year-old. A trip to Anfield awaits.
Accrington Stanley, who are they?!
Liverpool’s last fixture against Accrington Stanley was so long ago that the legendary Billy Liddell was still in the Reds XI.
Liddell got both of the goals just three days before celebrating his 34th birthday.
But there is another, perhaps more well-known link between these two clubs. Back in 1989, an advert urging children to drink milk featured two Liverpudlian boys wearing LFC kits and arguing over why they should be getting more milk.
“It’s what Ian Rush drinks,” says the first boy. “And he said if I didn’t drink lots of milk, when I grow up I’ll only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley.”
“Accrington Stanley, who are they?!” comes the by now iconic response of the second boy. “Exactly,” his friend replies. Liverpool, and Konate, will soon find out. A brilliant draw.
