The international break is coming to an end.

Liverpool FC midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai scored a 99th-minute penalty against Germany in UEFA Nations League action to rescue a hard-fought point.

The Hungarian captain cooly converted the penalty with a panenka to tie up the game dramatically.

In other Nations League action, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch made late substitute appearances for the Netherlands in a 1-1 draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Lewis Koumas, currently on loan at Stoke City, was an unused substitute as Wales cruised to a 4-1 win over Iceland.

Over in South America, Alexis Mac Allister looks like a potential injury worry again as he stayed down after a challenge from Peru's Zambrano. He managed to walk off to be substituted for Leandro Paredes in the 90th minute. Argentina won the World Cup Qualifier 1-0.

Darwin Nunez played the first half for Uruguay in their 1-1 away draw to Brazil before being taken off at half-time. The striker was his usual hardworking self but seemed to be starved of service in a game of relatively few chances.

In Asia, Wataru Endo captained Japan to a 3-1 away victory over China in World Cup qualifying.

In youth action, Kaide Gordon, who is on loan at Norwich City this season, started for England's Elite League Squad in a 1-1 draw with Poland. Trey Nyonialso featured in England's U19s in a 0-0 with Belgium, which ensured the Young Lions' place in the next phase of Euros qualifying.

Trent Kone-Doherty played for about 60 minutes for the Republic of Ireland's U19s in their 2-1 win over Iceland, which also saw them move onto the next stage. Finally, Stefan Bajcetic, on loan at Red Bull Salzburg, started for Spain's U21s in their 2-1 friendly victory over Denmark.
