Liverpool head into 2025 in an excellent position to challenge for all four pieces of silverware this season, with Arne Slot being a revelation for the Reds.
The Dutch coach came to Merseyside with seemingly an impossible job of replacing Jurgen Klopp, yet Slot has exceeded expectations with Liverpool top of the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and in the League Cup semi-finals.
With Liverpool just enduring one loss this season at the hands of Nottingham Forest, Slot has proven himself to be an incredible appointment for the Anfield side, with the former Feyenoord manager naturally evolving this squad that Klopp left for his successor.
Yet one player has thrived more than most under Slot, with the development on that could save Liverpool millions going into 2025.
Ryan Gravenberch has been Liverpool’s Young Player of the Season
After a disappointing first year on Merseyside, Ryan Gravenberch’s Liverpool future seemed to be in real jeopardy even with the Dutch international not having a real shot to prove his worth for the Reds after signing for £34m last summer.
However, under Slot, the 22-year-old has been transformed at Anfield, with Jamie Carragher comparing Gravenberch to Patrick Vieira as the Liverpool midfielder has established himself as an undroppable member of the starting XI.
With Michael Owen lauding Gravenberch as 'outstanding' for Liverpool this season, the former Ajax academy graduate has found new life playing alongside Alexis Mac Allister in a double-six system that has worked wonders for the Reds.
And with rumours emerging that Real Madrid are now interested in signing Gravenberch, Liverpool are fully ware that they have a superstar in the making on their hands this season, with Slot a key reason behind this incredible development.
What other young Liverpool players have impressed this season?
At 22-years-old, Gravenberch is easily the youngest player in Slot’s strongest XI, with the majority of Liverpool’s key starters either in their prime or just about to come out of it, unless you’re named Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
Yet that hasn’t stopped other youngsters in Liverpool’s squad from impressing when given the chance, with Conor Bradley’s performance for the Reds against Madrid arguably the best from any player this season.
With Liverpool fans impressed with Trey Nyoni after the teenager’s first professional start for the Reds against Southampton, the future is looking bright for the Anfield side, with Gravenberch the brightest light of all.
