Liverpool’s summer transfer window was a quiet one but it looks like planning is already well underway when it comes to January and beyond.

The Reds only managed to sign Federico Chiesa as Arne Slot was effectively dealt the hand that Jurgen Klopp left him.

So far, it’s worked out well, with the Reds firmly involved in the title picture for now and Slot getting some good performances out of the players already here.

However, there are upcoming problems for the club to sort out with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk all coming to the end of their contracts.

Replacements, then, will be needed. And according to reports from Italy, Liverpool are eyeing a potential Mo Salah alternative.

Liverpool eyeing Switzerland winger as they seek Mo Salah replacements

According to a report from Inter Live, Bologna winger Dan Ndoye is a man in-demand and a number of Italian clubs, including Inter Milan, are keen on him.

However, it is suggested that a bid from Liverpool is considered most likely as it stands and that Ndoye is open to a move to the Premier League.

Ndoye, 23, has emerged as part of the current Bologna side that has excelled in recent years.

Indeed, we’ve already seen the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Riccardo Calafiori get moves from Bologna to England, and Ndoye could be next.

Dan Ndoye to Liverpool could work

There’s clearly a very talented player there in Ndoye and given he’s already won 18 caps for Switzerland at his age suggests a big future in the game.

For Liverpool and FSG, it’s all about identifying players who they can sign and develop and turn into future stars like they did with Mo Salah and are doing again with Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott.

Ndoye plays predominantly on the left right now but is more than capable of going to the other wing if needed as well.

Liverpool, then, have seen something they like in the winger and he’s one to keep an eye on ahead of January.
