With Gary Neville blown away by Trent Alexander-Arnold’s assist for Luis Diaz, Liverpool enjoyed one of their best performances yet under Slot, with the Reds once again establishing themselves as the clear front-runners in the Premier League.
And Neville was impressed by one thing he saw from Mohamed Salah’s performance against Tottenham.
Neville enjoyed Salah toying with Tottenham’s defenders
Speaking on Sky Sports coverage of the match, the pundit was enjoying seeing Salah make Tottenham’s defenders look like they weren’t even there, with the winger enjoying his time on the ball despite being marked by a number of opposing players.
With Anthony Gordon recently lauding Salah as ‘a machine’, the 32-year-old attacker once again showed today why he has been arguably the best player in the Premier League, with Neville more than impressed with what he saw from the Egyptian.

Noting on one Salah chance in the first-half, Neville said: “This little shuffle there, left then right, brilliant from Mo Salah. In the end, he does well just to get the shot away with the power, he almost toe-pokes it.
“It’s impressive to get the shot away under real pressure, he’s leaning back that’s why it goes a little bit higher than he wanted it to. He’s got a smile on his face, he’s having a good time out there.”
Salah might be in the best form of his life at Liverpool
It’s becoming hard to put into words just how good Salah has been this season for Liverpool, with the winger breaking a new record seemingly every week as the 32-year-old continues to fuel the Reds’ Premier League title bid.
And Salah’s performance once again reinforced the idea that not only is the former AS Roma star in the best form of his life, but that’s he also the best player in the Premier League, with the attacker now leading the goalscoring and the assist charts.
Indeed, Salah’s contract situation at Liverpool might be the main talking point, but the winger’s form is making it hard for the Reds’ board to ignore how important he is for the club’s success, with titles and silverware now resting on the former Chelsea star’s shoulders.
