Liverpool are back in Premier League action on Saturday as they face a second consecutive game against Brighton.

The Reds knocked the Seagulls out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and will be looking for a similar result this weekend.

They’re going to have to do it without a number of injured players, though. Liverpool still have issues surrounding Federico Chiesa, Diogo Jota, Alisson Becker and Harvey Elliott.

Nevertheless, most of Liverpool’s big hitters are likely to return at Anfield as Arne Slot rotates his side back to relative full strength.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game during his Friday press conference, the Liverpool head coach did not report any further fitness problems.

However, while observing a session at the Liverpool training ground later in the day, Sky Sports journalist Vinny O’Connor spotted two players worryingly working away from the group.

Liverpool pair train separately ahead of Brighton clash

One player who had seemed unlikely to feature against Brighton in midweek had been Conor Bradley.

But having worked his way back to fitness, Bradley earned praise from Cody Gakpo for putting in a 90-minute shift at the Amex Stadium.

However, the 21-year-old’s elongated display fresh from injury might have caused him some issue.

Reporting via X, O’Connor claimed that Bradley and fellow Liverpool academy graduate Jarell Quansah were both working individually on Friday.

“Liverpool currently training ahead of the game against Brighton,” says the journalist. “Quansah and Bradley training separately from the group.

“Also saw Harvey Elliott back out on the grass but still not joining in full training.”

Will Quansah and Bradley miss Saturday’s game?

While a separate training plan does not necessarily mean a player is injured, it is rarely a good sign either.

In this case, though, we’d argue that care is simply being taken over Bradley and Quansah after an intense game following a period of inactivity.

Besides, barring any last minute fitness problems, neither player would have been likely to start against the Seagulls anyway.

With bench duty set to be the case for both, this shouldn’t be too much to worry about for Liverpool.

As an aside, it’s good to hear that Elliott has been spotted out and about, too. Hopefully his return is now just a matter of weeks away.
